We all knew this would happen eventually in Bread Club... Yes, this month we’re making a braided loaf - a rich, shiny Challah. Don’t panic though, the actual braiding is quite easy (once you get the hang of it), and of course, we’ve made a handy video for you to follow when you get to the braiding stage.
The Challah dough is slightly sweet, light (as it contains oil, not butter), and enriched with egg, so it’s deliciously flavourful.
Although you could easily eat this whole loaf, as it is, with just a little butter, it also makes excellent french toast. Why not give it a try?
