Event Manager - full time

What we need

We’re looking for a passionate, motivated Events Manager to join our growing team. This position is based in our Basingstoke HQ, where you’ll be surrounded by fun, like-minded, creative people who are the heart of Bakedin. We're looking for someone who has brains, can multi-task, a great sense of humour, loves to get stuck in and excited to take their career to the next level. It will also be an advantage if you love cake as there is lots of that to go around most days!

What you’ll do

 

  • Plan Bakedin's event calendar.
  • Book events and handle associated admin.
  • Coordinating each event, including scheduling other staff where necessary.
  • Liaising with Bakedin operations team to allocate stock and resources.
  • Work with the marketing team to publicise events.
  • Setup and breakdown event stands.
  • Run the events, including face to face selling or sampling depending on the event.
  • Analysing sales data from each event and using to plan the following years events.

There will be opportunities to get involved in all aspects of the business, so you must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and helping out at consumer events, trade shows, product development and cake tasting to name a few!

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous experience planning and running events.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Strong face to face sales skills.
  • Enthusiastic and positive outlook.
  • Confident, outgoing personality.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Comfortable working with a Mac and good knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Interest in food.

Many of our events will be at weekends, or involve early starts and late finishes. You must be prepared to move your working hours to suit and be flexible to ensure the success of our events programme. Some events will be physically demanding, setting up and dismantling exhibition stands.
