One of the World’s finest ever pastry chefs, Michel Roux OBE founded the Waterside Inn with his brother, Albert, back in 1972. The restaurant has proudly held 3 Michelin stars for 30 years, and is now run by his son, Alain. Michel has authored 12 books with his pâtissier’s bible, The Roux Brothers on Pâtisserie, selling more than 250,000 copies. The Roux family has been described as “The Beatles of gastronomy”, while Michel and his brother have been dubbed “the godfathers of cookery”. Michel personally reviews and approves all Baking Club recipes, so you can be sure they are all delicious!
