Let the Festivities Begin with our range of Christmas Recipes

Let the festivities begin! These brilliantly fun and festive treats are perfect for the whole family to enjoy making and eating together!

FLORENTINES

Have a go at making these luxurious chewy biscuits in the comfort of your own home

Ingredients:

  • 50g butter
  • 50g demerara sugar
  • 50g golden syrup
  • 50g plain flour
  • 25g dried cranberries (finely chopped)
  • 25g almonds
  • 25g walnuts
  • 25g pistachios
  • 200g dark/milk chocolate
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160 Fan/Gas Mark 4. Line 3 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Put the butter, demerara sugar and golden syrup into a small pan and gently heat until the butter is melted. Remove the pan from the heat and add the plain flour, chopped cranberries and nuts to the pan. Stir well.
  3. Make 18 florentines by spooning 6 teaspoons of the mixture onto each of the prepared baking trays, leaving space for them to spread whilst baking.
  4. Bake for 8-10 mins or until they’re light brown in colour. Leave the florentines to cool before lifting them onto a cooling rack using a palette knife.
  5. Put a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water without letting the bowl touch the water. Add the chocolate into the bowl and stir until the chocolate is fully melted. Remove the bowl from the pan.
  6. Spread a little of the melted chocolate over the flat base of each florentine and leave to cool slightly before making a zigzag in the chocolate with a fork. Leave to set, chocolate side up on a cooling rack

CHRISTMAS CUPCAKES

Cupcakes are so quick and easy to whip up with little ones and there’s so much fun to be had with decorating them on a Christmas theme. Try covering in chocolate and adding pretzels, red smarties and eyes to create mini Rudolphs, simply top with swirls of white buttercream and shiny sweets to look like snowcaps or cut out shapes from white sugar paste icing and decorate to make snowman faces.

Why not turn our Chocolate Orange Jaffa Loaf into some wonderful cupcakes and then decorate them with all your festive designs!
